Cory studied nursing at the University of Vermont thanks to the influence of her husband’s family who introduced her to what a wonderful field nursing can be. At UVM Cory was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority whose philanthropy was focused on women’s health. Cory helped run fundraisers for victims of domestic violence and this is where her love for women’s health started to flourish.
After graduating, she began her nursing career at Hartford Hospital as a cardiac nurse where she was able to grow and expand her nursing skills. Cory quickly realized the importance of spending time with her patients and felt she not given enough of an opportunity to provide the necessary care and education to ensure holistic patient care.
Cory decided to go back to school and graduated with her master’s degree from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University Of St Joseph. During her clinical practicum for school, she fell in love with women’s health and the connections she was able to build with women throughout some of the most vulnerable times of their lives. Her passion is to deliver compassionated and holistic care to a diverse population of women.
During her free time Cory enjoys spending time outside and going on hikes with her Bernese mountain dog. She also loves skiing, swimming at the beach, spending time with friends and family, eating Mexican food, reading and working out
